To meet and connect with people from different places and cultures has always been one of the highlights of my travels. It's for this experience alone that I forgo the comforts of a hotel to live in a hostel and I skip touristy sojourns to attend meetups. However, there has never been a guarantee of a connection. For the right people to gather at the right time and at the right place has always been a game of chance, but even when the stars align, true connections so rarely ever emerge.

However, the other night, over the game of Revelations, was different. I have never been able to open up, be vulnerable and connect so deeply with complete strangers so quickly before. To enter a room as strangers and come out as friends over just a few short hours is an ethereal experience. It's Magic.

Revelations might not always be able to make this magic happen, but it surely tips the scales of fate.
